What is the SEEK Conference?
SEEK is an annual Catholic conference put on by the apostlate FOCUS. Every year, 20,000+ people come together to encounter the Lord in fellowship, prayer, and formation.
The Need
As part of the SEEK Experience Design Committee while serving as a missionary with FOCUS, this group was tasked to design different experiences for attendees to intereact with throughout the convention center.
Collaboration
A team of 14 missionaries came together weekly on Microsoft Teams for 8 weeks to design and plan media moments, prayer experiences, and fellowship experiences for attendees to participate in at the conference.
We used this online space to collaboate and prepare to be in-person. Each project and how it would be made was planned before meeting to set up for SEEK26.
Highlights Tunnel
Made from garden trellises and net lights, this experience was designed for attendees to share their favorite moments and encounters at SEEK, while having a picture worthy spot to hang out with their friends.
Jump to the Heights
Jump the the Heights was created to incorpatrate the SEEK theme: To the Heights. It gave attendees a fun activity to interact with while passing through the convention center.
Marian Grotto + Prayer Experience
Every year at SEEK there is a unique Marian Grotto designed to fit the SEEK theme. This is a place for attendees to sit and pray in a quite place and to have an encounter with the Lord through Mary. In addition to the Grotto, we designed an intereactive experience to share prayer intentions in the same vicinity.
